is a form and process of establishing a group of
people who have a common vision and goal who
are involved in community action.

based on the perspective of community
development, its direction is toward the making and
establishing of power among people in the community.
• It is the process of organizing consolidating developing ,
and sustaining the forces of the people who have no voice,
less resources , and less opportunities in the community.

• This is empowering the marginalized,
disadvantaged people of the community and
society. Stall and Stoecker (1997) stated that
community organizing involves the whole process
of it.

• Influenced the realization of collective action as
an initial in identifying the common problems in
the community.
• They define and address problems, mobilize
resources and sustain community action
collectively.

• The process is long, difficult and stressful in the part of the
community organizers.
• The conflicts in the process lead to strengthen people's
relationship opportunities.
• The theoretical growth of Adams and Alinsky contributed a lot
in community organizing,

social democracy, multiple participation, and integrated
knowledge.
