 WHY HPE

 Deloitte has been using the HPE Infrastructure and solutions over past seven
years, that is very stable with no reported incidents or performance issues.
 Using HPE Storage inbuilt data migration tools (viz. HPE Peer Motion), the
data migration from the 3PAR storage array to the new proposed HPE
Greenlake for Block storage is seamless.
 Using HPE Storage UI Peer Motion, the volumes from the HPE 3PAR storage
can be migrated to HPE Alletra 9000 storage system.
 Peer Motion enables to migrate volumes and host configuration information
from HPE 3PAR arrays to a destination HPE Alletra storage system without
changing host configurations or interrupting data access.
 No Additional Software’s or skill sets required to migrate the data from 3PAR
storage array to the new proposed Storage Array without any interrupting the
hosts I/O operations with HPE Peer Motion.

 WHY HPE
 HPE StoreOnce Backup Appliance has very tight integration with Veeam Backup Software. Veeam
Backup software has got the HPE StoreOnce Catalyst store API’s.

 The Catalyst architecture is accessed through an API command set that is directly integrated into a
Veeam backup application media agent. This Catalyst API uses a proprietary set of commands to send
and retrieve data from the Catalyst store using command and data sessions.

 HPE StoreOnce Catalyst stores would effectively protect mission-critical data by effectively isolating it
from traditional lines of communication and command sets leveraged by ransomware attackers. HPE has
hidden the Catalyst store from attackers in plain sight but behind an application programming interface
(API) that both enhances and simplifies the process of backing up and deduplicating data

 Veeam can set the immutability period to back up files created in HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Store using
the Catalyst APIs. An immutable backup file/object cannot be deleted or altered until the expiration of
the immutable timestamp. This makes the backups on HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Stores tamper-proof
against unauthorized or accidental deletions and Ransomware attacks

 Dual authorization is a system-level setting that requires the approval of a security officer to authorize
specific disruptive operations, such as deleting/modifying a store, modifying system settings, and so on.
