About Destinations Visited


Manali:
 It is a high-altitude town in Himachal Pradesh.
 It’s a gateway to Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati River.
 Manali is famous for Hadimba Temple, Mall Road, freshwater streams, peaks
covered with snow, pine forest, Rohtang Pass and adventure activities.
Rohtang:
 Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass on the eastern end of the Pir Panjal Range
of the Himalayas.
 It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal
Pradesh.
Lahaul & Spiti:
• It consists of the two formerly separate districts of Lahaul and Spiti.
• It is thriving centre of Buddhism and a home to several monasteries.
• The Spiti River nurtures the beautiful valleys of Lahaul & Spiti.
Atal Tunnel:
It is named after former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee
It is presently the world’s longest single tube highway tunnel at an altitude of above
3000m.
Kasol:
It is in the Kullu district.
It is situated in Parvati Valley on the banks of the Parvati river.

Itinerary
Day 1: Departure from Delhi
 Start of the journey- Reached Delhi from Aligarh by bus, boarded Volvo for
Manali.
Day 2: Arrival in Manali
 Visitation to Old Manali
 Places covered- Forest Walk, Hadimba Devi Temple, Mall Road.
Day 3: Lahaul & Spiti, Rohtang
 Went to the Lahaul and Spiti Valley via Atal Tunnel.
 Witnessed fresh snowfall of the season at Rohtang.

Day 4: Arrival in Kasol


 Reached Kasol and were allotted riverside camps.
 Went for shopping at the famous Kasol Flee Market.
 Activities done- Musical Chairs and Dum Charades.
Day 5: Sightseeing in Kasol
 Went for Chalal Trek
 Spot visited- Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib
Day 6: Arrival in Delhi
Arrived in Delhi in the morning.
Reached Aligarh by cab.
