Well developed points means…
Linking the points about Mali and China together using this means that/ moreover/
furthermore/ meanwhile/ whereas/ this caused / because…./ so…./ therefore/
whereas/ however in…/ also/ that / which
Example paragraph.
One reason China is an EDC and Mali an LIDC is not shown on the maps- colonisation.
Mali was colonised (violently invaded and then controlled by) France. The French
raped the land of much uranium (a valuable substance found in the ground, turned
into nuclear power) and also told locals to practice farming techniques that damaged
the soil, so crop growth reduced. They also leaked chemicals into the land, which all
created tension in Mali between Malians that liked French ways and those, especially,
the Fulani nomadic people, that didn’t, this has caused political unrest in Mali today.
Moreover, the colonisers drew lines to map Mali, through ethnic groups that
previously ruled themselves, this caused certain groups to be subjugated (treated
badly) meaning tensions run deep. Whereas in China, there has been a stable (some
would question fairness though) government, and while there are is unrest in some
areas, like Uighurs and in Hong Kong, many follow the government maintaining
stability.
Explain fully- using well developed points with this
means that and therefore- reasons why Mali and Another reason China is an EDC is shown on the map- it shows that China has a long
coastline, so it can have many ports, therefore many container ships can dock there Code the bottom written paragraph, in 3
China might be at different stages of development. and this means importing and exporting goods is easy, however as the map indicates, different colours to highlight- place names
Use the maps and your own understanding. Mali is landlocked, this means that it has to maintain friendship with neighbours like (colour 1- green), linking phrases/ words
Write a third paragraph here: Cote D’Ivoire to export and import goods it needs to make money and feed its (colour 2- yellow) and geographical language
people, this makes transport costs higher because they will have to pay the country (colour 3- purple).
to transport goods through their territory.
