ENGLISH TEACHING

METHOD APPLIED BY

MODEL LIMBOTO

INTRODUCTION
Decision of Minister of Education and Culture
No. 096/1967 on December 12th 1967 about the
function and purpose of teaching English in high
schools.

1. English language is first foreign language that


teaching in high school.
2. The purpose of English language pursuit is
communicative ability of students.
3. English language skill that developed includes
four skills:

1. Discovery Learning

Two of the characteristics of Discovery Learning are


students exploring and solving problems to create, combine
new knowledge and existing knowledge.

2. Total Physical Response (TPR)

Said that the teacher give commands and the students
complete the action of those commands
3. Communicative Language Teaching (role play)

That students use the language a great deal through


communicative activities such as games, role-plays,
and problem-solving tasks

modeling and practice.
CONCLUSION
There are several english teaching methods
implemented by teachers at MTSN Model
Limboto. They are Discovery Learning, Total
Physical Response (TPR), Direct Method, and
Communicative Language Teaching (role
play). With some of these methods, teaching
english at MTSN Model Limboto become
more effective and efficient.
