TECHNICAL ASPECTS
⚫ 1. PROCESSING
Raw Water Collection:
The process starts with collecting raw water into tanks, which serves as the initial
step in sourcing water for treatment.
Coagulation with Alum:
Alum is added to the water for coagulation, causing impurities to clump together
and form larger particles.
Settling:
The water is allowed to settle for an hour, allowing the coagulated impurities to
settle to the bottom of the tanks.
Chlorination:
Chlorine is added to the water for disinfection, targeting and eliminating harmful
microorganisms.
Sand Filtration:
The water passes through a sand filter, which further removes suspended particles
and impurities.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Carbon Filtration:
The water is then passed through a carbon filter, which helps in removing
organic compounds, odors, and taste.
Dechlorination:
A dechlorination process is applied to remove any excess chlorine, ensuring the
water is safe for consumption.
Micro Filtration:
The water undergoes a series of microfiltration stages with filters of decreasing
pore sizes (5 microns, 1 micron, and 0.4 microns). This helps in removing
smaller particles and microorganisms.
UV Treatment:
The final stage involves exposing the water to UV rays. UV treatment is
effective in disinfecting and killing any remaining bacteria, viruses, or pathogens
in the water and passing over through ozonation for preservation
