Conductors

Conductors are the materials or substances which

allow electricity to flow through them.

They conduct electricity because they allow

electrons to flow easily inside them from atom to
atom.
Conductors

Metals, humans, earth, and animals are all conductors.

This is the reason we get electric shocks! Moreover, the human

body is a good conductor. So it provides a resistance-free path
for the current to flow from wire to body.
Conductors

Conductors have free electrons on its surface which allow current to

pass through easily. This is the reason why conductors are able to
conduct electricity.

Insulators

What is an insulator? An insulator is a material that does

not conduct electrical current.

Insulating materials include paper, plastic, rubber, glass

and air. Vacuum is also an insulator, but is not actually a
material. Most electrical conductors are covered by
insulation.
Insulators

An electrical insulator is a material in which electric current

does not flow freely. The atoms of the insulator have tightly
bound electrons which cannot readily move.
