Case Study:
Alson Salon Reservation System

Background of the study:

• Salon Reservation System is rooted in the evolving landscape of the beauty and wellness industry. Traditional salon
management processes often involve manual record-keeping, appointment scheduling, and inventory management, which can
lead to inefficiencies and a less-than-optimal customer experience. This study is prompted by the need to modernize and
streamline salon operations through the integration of technology, improving overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Salon Management Systems aim to centralize various aspects of salon operations, including appointment scheduling, staff
management, inventory tracking, and customer relationship management.

• The background emphasizes the challenges faced by salons in managing their daily tasks, maintaining accurate records, and
delivering a seamless experience for both clients and staff. The study seeks to explore how technology, such as cloud-based
platforms and mobile applications, can enhance salon operations. Key considerations include automating appointment
bookings, managing staff schedules, tracking inventory levels, and analyzing customer preferences for personalized services.
The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of a comprehensive Salon Management System that not only simplifies
administrative tasks but also improves the overall customer experience, ultimately benefiting both salon owners and their
clientele.

Alson Salon Reservation System

Scenario: As a customer, I navigate to the salon's website or mobile app. I browse through the list of available services offered by the salon, such as ,
manicures, pedicures, facials, etc. Each service displays details including the duration, price, and possibly images for reference. I select the service I want to
book from the list. If applicable, I choose a specific stylist or technician based on their availability and expertise. I choose the date I prefer for the appointment
from the available dates on the calendar. Upon selecting the date, I view the available time slots for that day. I select a suitable time slot for my appointment
based on my schedule and the salon's availability. I provide my personal details such as name, phone number, and email address. If it's my first time booking
with the salon, I may need to create an account or provide additional information. If there are any special requests or additional notes I want to convey to the
salon, such as specific instructions for the service or any allergies, I include them in a designated field. Before finalizing the reservation, I review all the details
including the service, date, time, stylist (if applicable), and any special requests. If everything looks correct, I confirm the reservation. On the day of the
appointment, I arrive at the salon at the scheduled time. The salon staff greets me and confirms my reservation. The stylist or technician performs the
requested service according to my preferences and any special instructions provided. After the service is completed, I may be asked to provide feedback about
my experience. I may also have the opportunity to rate the service and leave comments for the salon's improvement. If I'm satisfied with the service, I may
choose to schedule another appointment for a future date before leaving the salon, or I can book online again for future visits.
