Travel, whether for business or pleasure,
requires arrangements. The traveler usually
faces a variety of choices regarding
trasnportation and accomodations; and if
the trip is for pleasure, there are a variety of
choices regarding destinations, attractions,
and activities. One way for travelers to
chooses is with the service of retail travel
agency, obtaining all these arrangements for
a fee.
What is a travel
agency?
A travel agency is a middleman
(intermnediaries or brokers) a
business or person selling the
travel industry’s individual parts
or a combination of the parts to
the consumer.

a. Multiples are generally agents that have at least


50 branches.
b. Miniples are agents that have between five and
about 50 branches.
c. Independts are “one-off” agents with up to about
five branches in or around one particular area.

B. Business Travel Agents: or business management


companies cater for the travel needs of industry and
