AA meets at 7:30 PM every Tuesday in the Parish Hall. An open discussion format is used. Music Ministry: The Sunday Music Group returns to their ministry this week after their month-long break they were missed, and we are blessed to once again have music for our Sunday Liturgy. Youth Ministry: Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us on Sunday, August 26th for our first meeting of the school year! Plan to attend "Deacon" Carl's reception in the parish hall after Mass, then join us in the Basement from 1-1:30 for games, socializing, and plans for the upcoming year!! Questions? Contact Laura Zoeller at 477-6676 or by email. Religious Education: All Saints provides Religious Education for children from Preschool through High School as th part of our mission. Registration forms will be mailed next week and need to be returned by August 19 . Our parish guidelines are that a child must be enrolled and participating in Religious Education for at least one year prior to the year in which he or she would like to receive the Sacraments of Holy Communion, Reconciliation or Confirmation. th Our first meeting will be a Family Session on Sunday, August 26 . Spencer County Readifest and Health Fair: Thanks to those of you who donated the spiral bound notebooks that we gave away at this community event and to Mary Anne Cecil for organizing our efforts. The notebooks were welcomed! Back to School: Be aware that classes begin on Wednesday, August 8 in the Spencer County Public Schools. Please pray for a safe and successful academic year for the students and their families, faculty, staff and administrators. Spencer County Food Pantry: With the expenses associated with the start of school, there is a need for nonperishable food to assist families in need. Please drop your donation in the baskets outside the Parish Offices. Thank you. Roof Contract: HKC Roofing and Construction has been awarded the bid to replace the roofs on the Parish Office and Hall, which will be paid by our insurance company. The work will begin in approximately six-seven weeks. Discipleship Program: The Archdiocese of Louisvilles Discipleship Program is beginning this fall. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about their Catholic faith as well as concrete ways to live it out in their everyday life. St. Francis Xavier Golf Scramble: Our sister parish is planning a Golf Scramble, to be held at Taylorsvilles th Tanglewood Golf Course, on Saturday, October 6 . Parish Opportunities for Prayer: Our weekday Mass is celebrated on Thursday at 8:30 AM by our pastor, Fr. Dale, and all who are able are encouraged to participate. Consider joining the parishioners who gather each week on Wednesday at 6:30 PM, to pray the Rosary, followed by a Communion Service led by Deacon-Candidate Carl Fahringer at 7:00 PM. This week, there will be Eucharistic Adoration after the Communion Service, from 7:30 until 9:00 PM. Adult Faith Formation: The 8-week video session entitled Walking Toward Eternity will begin the week of August th 13 from 6:30-8:30 PM contact Carl Fahringer at 477-6676, or carlfahringer@bellsouth.net, to register or if you have any questions. There's no "homework" or "answers," but a prayer journal will be used to help guide us during the week. RCIA: A group of Inquirers meet with the RCIA team each Sunday at 9:45-11:15 AM, and at other scheduled times as needed.
