Welcome to our annual Tailgate Party at First Baptist Church.

This event is more than just a high attendance day for Sunday School or another time to meet and eat. This is a time to renew friendships, make new friends and enjoy fellowship in the Lord. Just as the excitement builds before the big game so our excitement builds before the Coming of the Lord. We are glad that you are here today and invite you to be part of our family if you do not have a church family. Pastor Arnaldo Gonzalez will be our special guest on Wednesday evening, September 12. Pastor Arnaldo is our Hispanic church planter in Decatur County Baptist Association. Many of you know him and appreciate him as I do. Come and hear his testimony of the work being done in our area and of the new church start, CRISTO TE AMA. (Jesus Loves You). Pastor Arnaldo will be speaking as part of our State Missions emphasis. Make your supper reservations for 6pm and plan to stay and hear him at 7pm. State Mission Offering will be received on Sunday, September 16. Our goal this year is $1500. Please pray about what the Lord would have you give toward this goal. Paul OUR CONDOLENCES TO: *****Chris Hobby and family in the death of his nephew of Milledgeville, GA. *****The Family of J.A. Dont you love when God does something amazing? I never understand why we underestimate the Power of God. He is God and we forget that sometimes. But I love it when He reminds us who He is. This past Wednesday night we had one of those moments. We worshipped as a student ministry with 107 students during youth. He is AWESOME. Its amazing when you begin seeking Him how He begins to show up. It is amazing how our students are receiving the word and now are going out and implementing the word. May we continue to seek Him and ALWAYS give Him the Glory for what is happening. I also want to thank everyone that makes it possible for our student ministry to be a success. It takes a lot of people, working a lot of hours of their own time, for the ministry to be able to do what we do. THANK YOU! We are continuing to plan for several fall trips and for our winter trip. Please be reminded to ask your students to keep you informed as well as looking in the Builder for upcoming events.
