Our Sunday School High Attendance day is September 9, 2012.

It will follow the same theme of the Tail Gate Party that we have been using. Following the morning services, lunch will be provided for your tailgating fun. Why are we emphasizing this so early? It is simple, we want every class to set a goal for high attendance and begin now to work toward meeting that goal. Our efforts will welcome back inactive members and find new prospects for the church and our Lord. Work hard to make this the highest attendance the church has ever seen. MEN, please sign up in the church office for our Southwest Georgia Mens Conference to be held on Saturday, September 8, at the Decatur County Coliseum. Let me know if you can come early and help usher. I need eight more men to help with this assignment. The conference will begin at 8:30 AM and end around noon. Registration is $10 and you may do so through the church office or at the door. Dr. Bobby Welch is our guest speaker and we hope to fill the 2000 seats of the Coliseum. I am looking forward to this event. Thank You, Harold Burrell for filling in for me last Sunday. We had a great trip to Louisiana but is good to be home. See you in Sunday School and Worship this week. Paul

MUSICAL PREMIER
This years exciting Christmas musical is entitled And On Earth Peace. Join us Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM as we premier this musical from start to finish. Participation is open to all adult singers.

I am excited about some of the events we will be having in the next few months. First, we will have a chance, as young men, to take a trip into the woods for a couple of days on Fall break. We will be traveling to the Appalachian Trail. You should, for sure, write down this on your schedule (boys) because it is going to be a blast! At the same time, the ladies will be doing a retreat of their own, hopefully at the beach. We are also planning a trip at the end of December (27th-29th) to New Orleans for the Know La Conference. This is a student conference that is being held on the campus of NOBTS. This will be a awesome time with a great speaker, worship leader, and even an illusionist. I will be asking the students to go ahead and begin signing up for this event so I can plan accordingly. Lastly, we are looking into a trip overseas. We are talking with a man from Hondurus about the possibility of coming to help him out in Santa Elana. He and his family houses around fifteen children throughout the school year. Their mission is to make sure the children are being educated and learning about the love of God. Begin praying for this possibility. It will be open to anyone 16yrs old and above. If you are interested in going or helping someone go, please see me.
