    These are the current complaints against Getty Images that are on file with the Washington State Attorney General office. These are complaints about Getty’s Settlement Demand letters sent out over alleged copyright infringement and are done in such a way that many call it “Legalized Extortion” as Getty refuses to provide any proof whatsoever of their claim, give unrealistic and artificial deadlines for payment, make veiled threats of an eminent impending lawsuit all of which are designed to instill fear and panic making the letter recipient pay before they can do any research and find out what is going on.

    Complaint Description
    Description I received permission from a website to use a photo on my company website. www.lakotacoffee.com A year later I was notified by Getty Images in Seattle 605 5th Ave South, Suite 400 Seattle, WA 98104 that they owned the image and to take the image down and that I owed them over $1,300.00. I removed the image immediately, however since I received permission from a different company to use the image. I do not feel it is right to have to pay this outrageous dollar amount. They are continuing to harass me and will not leave me alone. I have told them to contact my legal team and they continue to send me a baraige of emails. I would like to make a complaint in regards to their "scare tactics" that they continue to try and bully people around. Please help the people. Kind Regards.
