HISTORY OF INTERNET
The history of internet starts in 1950s and 1960s with the development of computers. This began with point to point communication between mainframe computers and terminals, expanding to point to point communication between computer and then early research into packet switching.

It is estimated that in 1993 the internet carried only 1% of the information flowing through the two way communication, by 2000 this figure had grown 51% and by 2007 more than 97% of all the telecommunicated information was carried over the internet.

What is internet?
A global network connecting millions of computer. More than 100 countries are linked into exchange of data, news and opinions. Each internet computer is called host is independent. There are a various ways to access the internet. It is also possible to gain access through a commercial internet service provider.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF INTERNET

Internet has been perhaps the most outstanding innovation the field of communication in the history of mankind as such every single innovation, internet has its own advantages and disadvantages. But usually greater magnitude of advantages outweighs its disadvantages.

ADVANTAGES OF INTERNET
Communication:- The forget target of the
internet has always been the communication. By the advent of computers internet, our earth has reduced and has attained the form of global village. Information:- information is probably the biggest advantage is offering. The internet is a virtual treasure of information.

services:- many services are now

provided on the internet such as online banking, job seeking, purchasing tickets for your best movies and hotel reservation. E-commerce:- E-commerce is concept used for any type of business deals that involves the transfer the information across the global via internet

DISADVANTAGES OF INTERNET
Theft of personal information:- If you
use the internet, you may be facing grave danger as your personal information such as name,address etc. Spamming:-Spamming refers to sending unwanted mails in bulk which provide no purpose and needlessly obstruct the entire system.

Virus threat:- virus is nothing but a

program which disrupts the normal functioning of computer system.

Pornography:-This is perhaps the

biggest threat related to childrens healthy and mental life. A very serious issue concerning the internet.

USES OF INTERNET
People use the internet for math game. Every computer user uses software that is installed on computer, the best software that exists in the market can be used for any one implement.

For example:- when we want to use

the internet, we can use the internet explorer,etc. Suffering the net is not only fun but at the same time can be extremely useful for a wide range of topics. For Example:-learn how to send an e-mail and e-mail services to your friends, but make it when your computer have e-mail protection.

CONCLUSION OF INTERNET
INTERNET/WWW Provides access to a global information system. makes it possible to publish information. Is impossible to manage centrally.
