Revised to March 25, 2013. Developer is not ready to present the proposed plan at this time.
Ensure completion of the soils clean-up and begin construction on the Casita de Zen mixed-use development at rd 3 and Main Streets.
Verbal approval has been given by the State for the clean-up. Upon receipt of written approval, the developer will initiate construction. Construction is estimated to start April 2013.

Implement a campaign to encourage Neighborhood Watch groups and other residents to report any issues that impact the safety of their neighborhoods.
Dont Ignore It, Report campaign is being started. Marketing materials and plans being developed. Media campaign to take place in Feb/March 2013.
Schedule a meeting with the School District (reps from both agencies; Superintendent and School Board President) to discuss issues of mutual concern.
Provide an educational session to inform residents of new and evolving safety concerns to the community.
Plans for a community forum are being considered. Dates and locations are being planned for community meetings three such meetings in 2013.
Investigate the feasibility of using the southern portion of the Edison easement on Raymond Avenue between Vine and Cedar Streets to convert to a community garden and make a recommendation to the City Council for direction.
According to the SCE representative Edison no longer allows community gardens on easements due to the large number of variables beyond Edisons control. Some of the issues cited by SCE include difficulty for SCE to manage; lack of control of plants and insects attracted to the plants; lack of control of the types of structures erected; lack of control of noise (music and other types) that can be disruptive to the neighbors.

Determine the feasibility of constructing a dog park and make a recommendation to the City Council for direction.
City Council reviewed the locations identified as possibilities and determined that the only location that might be suitable is at New Ave and Adams St and is partially owned by the City of San Gabriel. San Gabriel staff has not responded to Alhambra staff regarding this possibility.
Expand the number of Neighborhood Watch groups in the city by at least five.
Outreach is being done to solicit block leaders and captains. Recruitment and discussions are occurring with area residents. One such group has been organized for the Downtown area.
Develop and recommend to the City Council for action a campaign to get the students in Alhambra to support the completion of the 710 Freeway.

Presented to City Manager plans to move furniture from closed areas to public areas. More single user computer table space and teen area tables have been put in place.
Contingent upon available funding, install a new scoreboard at the Granada Park Baseball Field.
The contract is fully executed for installation. Rain saturated fields delayed the project. Staff is working with the contractor to get the trenching completed before another storm.
Determine the feasibility of expanding bus service to south of Valley Boulevard and report the results to the City Council for direction.
Present to the City Council for action the awarding of a contract for a new roof at Almansor Court.
Release a Notice Inviting Bids for replacement of the golf course irrigation jockey pump.
Staff has received the specifications for the equipment needed and is assembling the NIB.
