DO’s and Don’ts in the

COMPUTER Room
The following rules must be observed at all
times inside the computer laboratory.
Don’t Bring Food and/or Drinks Inside the
Laboratory
Drinks may accidentally be poured into the
computer which may cause a short circuit. A
short circuit may consequently cause fire.
Leftovers and crumbs attract insects and other
pests. These insects may live inside the
computer units, thereby causing potential
damage. It is always best to eat your
meals/merienda before going to the Computer
Laboratory.
Don’t Play Jokes
Many laboratory injuries are attributed to
students who play practical jokes or who
“booby-trap” the computer units. This practice
can cause serious injuries to you and other
students. This behavior should not be tolerated
while inside the laboratory.
Do Speak in a Modulated Voice
Speaking with a loud voice distracts the class.
If you are engaged in group discussion, it is best
to tone down your voice. Don’t disturb your
classmate while he is doing his work.
Do Use the Computer Equipment Properly
If you are not familiar to the equipments,
always seek advice from the teacher on how to
operate it. Any damage done to the computer
will be your responsibility.
Don’t Move Any Equipment
Careless movement of the computer
equipment may cause injuries and damage to
it. Lifting or moving the computer parts should
be done carefully. Seek the help of the
laboratory technician. Carelessness causes
breakage and accidental explosion.

Do Get Your Teacher Approval

In any activity/task you do, always consult
your teacher. He is always there to help you if
you are not sure of what you are doing. If the
computer is not functioning, you should report
this to your teacher immediately. Never
attempt to fix a problem on your own.
