March at Moana Pool The school swimming sports are split into two categories! competitive and non" competitive Most students will compete in the competitive races# but there is a non" competitive option $or those students who lac% con$idence in the water and are not con$ident swimmers The non"competitive swimming session will be $inished in time $or all students to watch the $inals and house relays The swimming sports will begin at & ''am sharp# there$ore all students need to ma%e their own arrangements to meet at the pool by ( )*am They need to be lined up outside the pool in their classes and their teacher will chec% the roll The swimming sports should be $inished by appro+ ,pm and all classes will wal% bac% to school with their classroom teachers $or lunch and a$ternoon class sessions -ll students will be allowed to wear their CORRECT P. gear /navy shorts# Balmac P. top# sports shoes and soc%s0 to the pool and school $or the day They will not need to bring their uni$orms 1owever i$ your student does not have their correct P. gear# or is not swimming $or some reason they need to wear their correct school uni$orm It is recommended that all students have an e+tra big pac%ed lunch on the day They will not be able to use the vending machines at the pool Class teachers must have a written note at least a day in advance $or anyone that isn2t swimming# because they will remain at school $or the day It is also important because class teachers will be ta%ing a roll at the pool on Thursday morning Please remind your son3daughter that it may be a good idea to bring an e+tra towel or t shirt to put on between races Please don2t hesitate to email your child2s teacher or mysel$ i$ you have any concerns or 4uestions lroney5balmacewen school n6 7ind regards
