For and against whaling: hear from experts

The other lesson you heard Amy and Dave arguing about whaling. Now,
they asked two whaling experts for their opinion: Majik, a member of the
Inuit community in Point Hope, and Sarah, an activist from the
organisation ʻStop Whaling Now.ʼ

1. Individual work ⌚ 10 min.

1. Decide in your groups who is

going to watch Majikʼs and who
Sarahʼs film (Vimeo password:
whaling)

2. Watch the film one or two

times for yourself and try to
write down as many arguments
as you can (at least five).

3. Now tell your partner what

youʻve found so far and
complete your list with the
missing arguments.
