The mini-AMTB is comprised of 12 items, each one corresponding to a scale on the full AMTB. It was developed using a procedure originally suggested by Guilford (1954). This version was used to assess the convergent validity of the AMTB scales in our international studies. I recommend that these items not be used as substitutes for the AMTB because single item scales are subject to considerable measurement error and have a restricted number of possible response alternatives, all of which can influence the relationships of these items to other variables.
