One of the most famous maritime disasters took place 100 years ago, and wireless played a central role that dark and cold night on the Atlantic. Had it not been for wireless (using Morse code) or radio, we would have no knowledge of what happened to the Titanic that night. Moreover, another 700 people would likely have died for lack of rescue, and the wreck would have not been discovered in 1985. The talk addresses one of the vital applications of prebroadcast radio and relates to exhibits already in place. Presented by Chris Sterling, George Washington University. Museum operated by the Radio History Society.
