Below are my replies to your questions regarding my employment of Edmund M. Vea.
The questionnaire is extremely long and my time is very limited, so I was necessarily concise with my
answers.
In summary, Ed is an ambitious, effective, and loyal employee, not to mention a really nice guy. I

Ed Vea was my operations manager and executive assistant for more than 2 years.

Ed handled all aspects of my company's operations, including procurement, HR, payroll, bookkeeping,
government compliance, IT, research, ] filing, and many other responsibilities. He also served as my

assistant. Ed is a jack of all trades.

Ed was laid off due to budget constraints experienced during the Great Recession.
> 5. Given the opportunity, would you rehire him?
Yes.

position?
Ed would perform the role of administrative secretary very well. This sounds like an ideal assignment for
him.

Ed's attendance was excellent. I can't think of any days he missed work unexpectedly.

Ed is devoted, kind, production, efficient, and thorough. He gets the job done with a positive attitude.

Although this may sound trite, I cannot think of any areas where Ed needs to improve.
> 10. Given the position, what would pose the biggest challenge for Mr. Vea?
I cannot think of anything that would pose an insurmountable challenge for Ed.
> 11. How resourceful is Mr. Vea? Did he rely on you or someone else to find out about everything they
needed to know or did he demonstrate initiative in finding relevant information?
Ed consistently conducted research, learned skills, and solved problems on his own, without close
supervision. I had no time to hold Ed's hand, so he got things done on his own.
> 12. Please describe any major accomplishments of Mr. Vea.
Ed implemented numerous company initiativesfrom concept to completioneffectively and efficiently.
> 13. Describe Mr. Veas ability to appropriately prioritize work and how he has handled conflicting
deadlines or competing demands.

Ed is strong at prioritizing his tasks. During times when we were overwhelmed with projects, Ed would do an
excellent job of identifying and addressing priorities.

with diverse individuals, dealing with difficult people, etc.?
Ed's interpersonal skills are terrific. As I wrote earlier, Ed gets along with everybody. He is kind, sincere, and
generous.
> 15. Describe how Mr. Vea responded to criticism. Please give examples.
On the rare occasions when I found myself providing constructive criticism to Ed, he was always attentive
and
respectful. On a related point, he is a quick learner.
> 16. What would his critics say about him?
Critics of Ed might suggest that he tries too hard to please.
> 17. Has Mr. Vea consistently handled confidential information appropriately?
To this day, I trust Ed with information regarding my most confidential business and personal affairs.
> 18. Did Mr. Vea conduct ever require disciplinary measures? If so, describe.
No.
> 19. What type of advice would you give his next employer to ensure success?
Give Ed clear assignments and concise instructions, then allow him to deliver the goods.
