    This place comes under Malappuram District of Kerala State.

    This place is very popular for its Bhagavathi Temple. The temple was under the rule of King Zamorin for a long time. One can reach the place both by rail and road. Shornur is the nearest Railway junction. Perintalmanna is the nearest town. The place is a couple of hours journey from Kozhikode. I have a close association with this place. My father was Sub-postmaster here during 1962-65 and I had begun my schooling here. I have very much nostalgic memories of this time. The temple is about a kilometer from the railway station. This place falls under the Valluvanadan belt and the people are blessed with all the graceful elements of that life. I am presenting this photo feature on a reflection that those who are familiar with the temple and its serene surroundings can go back through their times. This feature could be a treasure for them. Over the decades, the landmarks are giving way to new facets. So, to preserve the old has its very value.
