Grades I met with Mrs. Sutherland today to discuss tutoring needs. More information will be coming home about this next week along with grade checks. If you would like to work with your child at home, Study Island and Acuity are wonderful sites purchased by Nixa to help your child learn. These can be used as tutoring or for enrichment at home. I prefer Acuity to Study Island if youre just choosing one to use. Site: acuityathome.com (Do not type in www first.) Site: www.studyisland.com Your childs log-in information is in his/her assignment book. Items Needed- The PBIS (Positive Behavior Support) committee is needing small treasure box like prizes to hand out to students at assemblies. If you have leftover party favors or kid-meal prizes that you are wanting to get rid of, please send them in with your child marked with PBIS. Thanks so much for your help in keeping this kiddos motivated to SOAR at Mathews! Grandparents Day Schedule- September 17th is Grandparents Day. We invite grandparents and grandfriends to visit our school for an assembly and a time of sharing in the classroom. The assembly for 4th grade starts at 11. After the assembly the students will be able to show their grandparents/friends around our classroom for about 20 minutes until lunch. There will be no extra lunches provided for grandparents, so please dont plan on having them eat here at school.
