PTA President's Message

Hello Adams Eagles!
What a beautiful Fall we are having! I hope you are enjoying the colorful scenery that surrounds us! October was a
fun month at Adams! We had an amazing Red Ribbon week, thanks to Ann Kelly! I would encourage you to continue
to talk openly with your children about being Drug Free! The wonderful Muppet assembly was such a great way to
teach our school aged children about being Drug Free! The Limo rides, creative Reflection entries, and Principal
Forbush Kissing a Frog added to our fun October! Thanks to Alisa Littlefield for heading up our Reflections and
getting those entries ready!
Charles Acosta put on our Watch Dog kick off night! We would love to have more Watch Dogs be involved at our
school. There are still plenty of days available for you to come volunteer. Charless email is:
charles.acosta@us.af.mil. You can contact him for more information. Its a great opportunity to get involved and help
increase the safety at Adams Elementary.
I hope to see many of you at our Book Fair Nov 10-14! Its a great way to help put books in our teachers classrooms
to benefit our children! Thanks for your continued support at our book fairs!
Our Next PTA meeting is on Monday, November 17th at 4:00 pm in the Library. We will be discussing ideas for our
Service Project in December! Wed love your input on that and ANY other issue!
Thanks again for all the time our parents, teachers, and staff put in to make our school what it is! Please contact me at
any time for anything you need!
Sincerely,
Jackie Malan

Box Tops

Thanks to all of the students who turned in Box Tops last month, making it possible for Mr. Forbush
to kiss a frog! We collected over 5,000 Box Tops! We would also like to thank KC, the manager of the
Layton Petco, for providing the frog for Mr. Forbush to kiss.

Clerical Volunteers
The teachers are in need of volunteers to help with clerical work. The volunteers will be helping teachers with
tasks like making copies, using the laminating machine, using the (booklet) binder, putting packets together,
etc. Please don't be intimated by this! We won't ask you to do anything that you can't do.
We need volunteers who can commit to one day a week, preferably at least an hour a week. If you can only do
a half hour a week, that's fine too. The teachers appreciate any help they can get.
There will be a short training to learn how to do these jobs. The training will be Thursday, November 13th at
10 am. If you would like to help but can't make it to the training, come into the office anytime and Kristin and
Sheila will train you. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, November 12th.
Please note: You will not be able to bring your children with you when you volunteer.

Yearbook Pictures
Throughout the school year, if you take any pictures that you would like to go in the yearbook, please
send them to Diane Kelsey. She works hard all year to put our wonderful yearbook together and she
would like to receive the pictures as you take them. You can email the pictures to her at
ornellaskelsey@msn.com.

Birthday Table
The next birthday table will be Friday, November 21st. If your child has a birthday in November, have
them stop by the birthday table during lunch recess to receive a gift.

School Spirit

Every Friday is School Spirit Day! Wear your school colors or your Adams Eagles TShirt. Prizes will be given out to students who participate.

Recycling
Our school earns money for everything that is placed in our recycling bins. Please save all of your
paper and cardboard and place them in our recycling bins. You can even place large cardboard boxes
in the bins. Just make sure to break down them down first. It's an easy way to help the school earn
some extra cash!
