Principals Message
Dear Parents, I hope your Thanksgiving vacation was a wonderful and memorable time for you and your family. Once again, I need to voice how thankful I feel to work in the Adams community. The teachers, staff, students and parents of Adams !lementary are wonderful and I am lucky to be here. "ith the #hristmas holiday approaching, I hope you ll en$oy the time you have with your families. Taking time to read together can have a profound effect on individuals. %ow a child views reading is often a reflection of the importance a parent places on it. &eading together not only engages the reader and the listener, but also establishes a life skill which instills an appreciation for and a value of reading. "ith so many wonderful reading choices to be found in our beautiful library, I m sure every student will find a book that will delight, inspire, and fill them with the e'citement of reading. (oon the weather will be turning cold, wet and snowy. I would encourage you to send your children dressed appropriately for the weather. )ecause children need to have some fresh air and movement throughout the day, unless the weather is e'treme, we try hard to have the children en$oy outdoor recesses as much as possible. Thank you again for allowing my wonderful staff and me the pleasure of working with such fine young students. I hope you have an en$oyable holiday season. #harollet #hambers

PTA Presidents Message

"e hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. It is so hard to believe that it is December already7 "e $ust finished up Parent Teacher #onferences which means our first book fair of the year is behind us. It was a huge success and we want to thank all who participated in buying books for your children. A special thanks goes to 8aren 9arsen and her wonderful committee for all of their countless hours in making it such a great e'perience for all. In con$unction with our parent teacher conferences was our teacher dinners. "e want to give a huge thanks to #laudine )rinkerhoff and those who helped her to prepare such delicious meals for our teachers. )a$io was so kind to cater one of our meals and we want to say thank you to them for their kindness and generosity. "e also want to say thank you to 0ichelle (narr and those who helped her with our back to school activity. It was held on 6ovember :th at (urf+n+ (wim and was a fun activity for all. "e $ust wrapped up our reflections contest and want to thank all of our students who participated. "e continue to have more entries each year. Adams !agles have so much talent and it was so much fun to see their creativity. The ne't activity coming up is our (ocks .or (ouls service pro$ect. It will be held December *nd through the ,th. It will be a great opportunity for our school to donate items to the #hristmas )o' %ouse in Ogden. "e want to wish you a very 0erry #hristmas and a %appy 6ew ;ear. Our $udges had a difficult time deciding which entries should be sent on to the #ouncil level. "e hope everyone that entered felt rewarded for the time and effort they spent creating their entries. "e had some fun activities for the students to participate in such as the coloring page, which if brought back in to be displayed on the wall, the kids got to pick out a candy bar. "e want to thank all the students who brought <uarters to contribute to the All for )ooks. .or every <uarter that was put in the bo' you could pull a sucker out and if it had a black or red mark on it then you could choose a priDe. "e made F5?2.22 which 0rs. Ban9euven was able to spend on books at the book fair. All the money went to buy books for our school library. "e want to Thank 0imi s for donating 3 doDen muffins to our 0uffins and 0ommies event and (ams #lub for giving us /2G off muffins. This book fair was a )IC (1##!((. "e made more money than we have made in the last / years with this book fair. (o again thank you to all who came and purchased books. "e are looking forward to our (pring book fair that will be held at the end of 4anuary. 9ook for more information to come. "e will have fun activities for students and families to participate in.
