The Problem
Parents, educators and medical professionals have the need and desire to monitor childrens cognitive and developmental progress. Currently, there is not a convenient and cohesive method to access, track, and store early childhood cognitive and developmental progress data (ages 0 to 5 years). As a result, cognitive and developmental delays are often not addressed in a timely fashion.

2. The application should be based on objective that is qualitative and quantitative. 3. Parents would like to know possible interventions they can pursue if their childs cognitive development concerns them.
BeanSprout is an innovative paperless solution for childhood development tracking and reporting educators and parents can enter a child's developmental progress daily using a easy to navigate interface. The application will quantify the entered data and produce a report that can be presented to parents, other educators, administrators and medical professionals. The collected documentation can be collected over the course of the first five years of a child's life and ultimately will have the ability to be exported

1. A place where parents can get information about how to best assist their child if they are behind in meeting developmental milestones. These recommendations can be input from educators, physicians, and other parents who have experience with the same concerns. 2. A place where parents can input doctors appointments and other to-dos for their the child . 3. A place for teachers to document the interventions they themselves have taken to see that the child is meeting with developmental progress.
How BeanSprout would work with the Shared Learning Collaborative Model Bean sprout provides a documentation tool for regular ongoing assessment data based on daily observations
An example of a Bean Sprout assessment item would be a Motor Skill developmental milestone, such as standing up for the first time or walking.
