TODAY, I’d like to talk about Heaven. Obviously, I’ve never been there yet. So I can’t describe it to you. If I was able to make an ocular inspection of Heaven, you can be sure that I would have never gone back to Earth to tell you how it looked like. Unless I got kicked out by an Angel the size of a Sumo wrestler. My message today is not to tell you how beautiful Heaven is and why we should abandon what we’re doing now and rush to go there. Instead, my message is for you to find a way to see heaven everywhere. Even in your trials. Especially in your trials. Especially in your unanswered prayers. Especially when there is more sadness than joys. Especially when there are more questions than answers. Here’s my message: Every pain in your heart contains a promise of Heaven. Every need that won’t be met on Earth will be met in Heaven. Every desire that won’t be fulfilled on Earth will be fulfilled in Heaven. Every dream that won’t come true on Earth will come true in Heaven. Truly, God’s rewards program is unlimited. We need to see Heaven everywhere. We need to remind ourselves that Heaven is coming. Have a very wonderful Feast today! May your dreams come true,

Eartly Rewards Some of us avoid seeking God, as it may mean we’d have to stop indulging ourselves in earthly treasures. But the truth is God uses these very treasures to bless us with material wealth. In continuation of the series on rewards, Bro. Eng talked about earthly rewards, which we can only enjoy if used for God’s glory. And sometimes, we may have to wait longer before we can bask in material abundance. This is where understanding the power and benefits of delayed gratification becomes very important. Don’t give up what you want most for what you want now. Learning to plant before harvesting is very crucial. So Bro. Eng tells us to ask ourselves: “Am I planting?” The secret to success is continuous planting of hard work, patience, and pain. But prosperity comes with persecution, so know that others may not be pleased with your progress. Let’s ask ourselves also: “Am I harvesting?” While some people don’t feel they deserve to live in abundance that harvest time gets delayed, God actually wants us to enjoy our harvest. Earthly rewards come in this present age—we should enjoy them while we can. -Ramir Espenilla

Matthew 6:19-21 Do not store up for yourselves reasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.... But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:1-4 Be careful not to do your `acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Talk 3: in Your Heart Contains a Promise of Eternal Rewards Every Pain

Philippians 3:13-14 But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Personal Reflection and Group Discussion: What unmet needs and unfulfilled desires do you have now that you know will be met and fulfilled in Heaven?

By: Eliond Albert Einstein said that there are only 2 ways to live. One is as if nothing is a miracle. The other is though everything is a miracle. But I learned that only in allowing the unexpected to happen can we truly experience life’s wonders. I rely on a to-do list to get through the day. Without it, I’d be totally lost. But unknown to me, God is cooking up surprises that are not on my list but are going to make my day complete just the same. And so October 7, a Sunday, I had a schedule for the day’s activities. And topping the list was attending the Feast (which I joined in 2008). As expected, it was another awe-inspiring day for me—touching songs turning me on in tears, making me feel like my soul is traversing another dimension. After the Feast, I went to Mt. Carmel Church to attend the mass, as scheduled. I wasn’t consistently attending the mass, but I still went because Bro. Eng reminded us that doing so is our primary duty as Catholics. And I’ve made the right decision because I was able to take away important life lessons from the priest’s teachings. His question “What will you save first if you are stuck in a flood?” hit me so hard and made me think of everything I value. I was so entranced that at the last song, I was still standing and singing while others are already leaving. Surprises kept coming and what transpired after the mass also blessed me in a certain way. I received a text message from a friend whom I haven’t seen in a long time. I was able to spend some time with my family again—with my siblings whom I seldom visited after a spat, with my younger brother who would update me on his life every now and then, and with my nephew whom I bonded with over a book on children’s arts. It was really a day filled with miracles. God works in mysterious ways. I am a to-do-list person, but by letting things run their course, I feel more like myself—living in the moment.

Not on My List

28 Days to go till KCON! Don’t miss the LARGEST CATHOLIC LEARNING EVENT in the Philippines! Here are some raves from the people who attended last year... “I’ve been attending KCON since 2010 and since then I’ve received mountain of blessings, life’s questions are answered. You have to be there and experience it yourself!” -Michael Erwin “Sobrang saya sa Youth Stream last year! Ang dami ang katulad ko na kabataang umattend at talagang nakakainspire yung mga talks. It’s a fun experience” RyanJames
“Attending the Inner Healing Stream last year made me draw strength from Jesus more.. It made me understand the wounds that He allowed me to have so that I can share His heart for the people who also longs to be loved and accepted. Almost all of us have afflictions. More to being healed is the privilege to walk with those wounded, be their friend and be a channel of God’s healing for them.“ - Jena

Revelation 2:23, 26 _______________________________ I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to _______________________________ your deeds. To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations.

“At first, we thought it’s just an ordinary Feast gathering, but it was different! We did not just sit and watch the program, we interacted with each other as well. If we could sum up our experience in one word - it would be... EPIC! “ - Ayel & Menriz, sibblings

“It’s going to be my 4th KCON this year and I must say, every year, it always exceeds my expectation. It’s what I look forward to every year—next to my birthday :D! Frankly, I look at it as a form of investment. It has helped me in all aspects of my life-health, career, money, relationship, faith, etc. I not only gained knowledge but the whole KCON experiecne always leave me with that burning desire to seek more so I could reach my full potential as God wants me to be.” - Emcy
