November 2012 Prayer Household of the Month Each month well pray for a specific unit.

In general we will pray for the unit that we feature. This month we wont feature a specific unit so please pray for all of the unit leaders. Prayer Requests Praise that the power has been restored for the Philippi unit as they were without power most of last week due to Hurricane Sandy. And pray for all of those on the east coast impacted by the storm. Pray for participants who continue to adjust and become more comfortable with their service assignments.

Welcome to Service Adventure News!

Welcome to the first issue of the 2012-2013 Service Adventure newsletter. Each month we will use this as a way to learn more about whats going on throughout Service Adventure. Everyone is welcome to submit stories, pictures and prayer requests at any time and I will include what I can. For instance, if you had a fun or funny adventure, please send me a little note about it and well share it with everyone else. Pictures are always a fun way to tell a story as well. Or perhaps you wrote something in your journal that youve been thinking about and wonder if others are thinking about the same things, share what you wrote. Maybe youve even found a recipe that your household really enjoys, send it in and well share it with the other units. All you need to do is submit things to me at SusanN@mennonitemission.net. We also have a Service Adventure page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/ServiceAdventure/201677468354. You can join the group and add photos, videos or start discussions. And feel free to encourage your family and friends to like Service Adventure as well.

Narratives
Its time for participants to send in their fall narratives. Narratives are an opportunity for you to reflect on your experience so far and share what you are discovering and learning. You will receive an email in the next day or two with more details about what to include. The due date for narratives is November 19.
