*Note for parents: Throughout our semester we will be talking about the concepts of equality and discrimination which will help students further understand rules three and five, while modeling these concepts in our classroom discussions. In the spring, our class will begin learning about the beginnings of democracy in eighteenth century Europe and North America and will create their own classroom rules, reflecting on the previous semesters rules and deciding democratically what to include in the new semesters rules.
