Frequently Asked Questions What is TOPSoccer? TOP Soccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a modified soccer program for children with special needs. It is designed to give children with physical, mental or neurological disabilities the opportunity to play and learn soccer. Who can play? Any child with a disability such as, but not limited to; ADD, Autism, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, heart problems, developmental delays, neurological impairments, hearing impaired, Sight Impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cystic Fibrosis, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Seizure Disorders. When and where do we play? The Spring 2013 Season is planned to start on March 13th at 6:30PM and continue every Wednesday through May 15th at the Mebane Soccer Complex on Corrigidor Street. How can I help? There are 3 very important parts to TOPSoccer; The Players: The children with the special needs. The Coach: Leads the activities. The Buddy: Assistant Coaches.Volunteers who actively play along-side, guiding the players and helping keep the players focused. No prior soccer experience is needed and there is no age limitations.
