1. Potentiometer can be divided into two according to the material, which is wirewound and carbon. Dielectric material is an insulator that can store electrical charges. Characteristics of dielectric material are dielectric strength, permittivity, resistivity and loss factor. Dielectric strength is the ability to withstand maximum electrical resistance without breakdown arises. dielectric permittivity is the ability to accept or store an electrical charge. Resistivity is the resistance of a dielectric material value. Loss factor is the loss of material owned by the frequency-dependent dielectric works.

2. Capacitor consists of two parallel plates separated by a dielectric material.

3. Silicon and germanium are semiconductor materials maker.

1. Transformer consists of two components, which is an iron core and coil. The function of the iron core in the transformer is to make it easier generating the flux by the electric current through the coil. Iron core is made of insulated iron plates to reduce heat arising from the eddy current. While the transformer coil made of insulated winding wire is forming a coil. Transformer coil consists of primary and secondary coils.

2. Instrument transformer consists of current transformers (CT) and potential transformer (PT). 3. Semiconductor materials can be divided into two, namely N-type and P-type.

1. Induction motors are divided into two ,namely squirrel cage motor and winding motor.

2. Resistor types that we know there are two, which is fixed and variable resistors.

3. Non-linear resistors are grouped into 3 which is thermistor, resistor and LDR (Light Direct Resistor). Thermistor is a resistor which is very sensitive to temperature change, so generally used as a temperature sensor. Thermistor type are NTC (negative temperature coeficient) and PTC (positive temperature coeficient). Vasitor or VDR (voltage direct resistor) is a resistor that is sensitive to voltage change, the resistor has a resistance value that will change when the applied voltage changes. While the LDR (Light Direct Resistor) is very sensitive to light changes, resistor in LDR has a resistance value that would change when the light changed, LDR is used as a light sensor.
