3 Pre-speaking activities Show the picture to the students to do brainstorming. Ask them some questions based on the picture 1. Do you know what this is? 2. Did you ever get invitation? 3. What kind of invitation do you get? Ask the students about their experiences about a party 1. Have you ever had a birthday party? 2. What did you do before party? 3. Did you invite your friends to come to your party? 4. How did you invite them? By cards or oral? 5. If oral, what do you say? Tell them that are going to discuss, and explain the competence that they will get. Whilst Speaking Activities Explain the students about 1. How to invite someone to join with us with 15 polite way. 2. How to accept the invitation Ask them to take attention and practice the dialogue in pair that teacher give. Post Speaking Activities Remind the students about giving and accepting 5 invitation with polite way (conclusion) Evaluate the activities that have done. Give the students the homework that they have to make short conversation about giving and accepting invitation in other occasion (dinner, vacation, see the cinema, etc) Ask them to read their handbook about how to refuse the invitation.
