The case only shows the widespread corruption that is happening in our government especially in military. It shows how the government officials who have power and position use it in order to do some illegal acts and anomalies. It only affirms all the controversies that we have seen in the news about the military generals who are corrupt and getting the funds of the military and use it for their personal reasons. It is saddening to know that while there are a lot of people suffering in poverty, there are still people who only think about themselves and would want to get even for their own personal interest. The action of the soldier, Raffy, that was stated in the case is very commendable. Even though he knew that it was an order from a higher official he carefully analyzed the instruction given to him and thought all the possible results that would happen if he will follow what was instructed to him or if he would do something that is right. After he examined all the pros and cons of his actions, he did what is right and he recommended an action that is not against the ethics and an action that is morally right. In this case, it was also discussed how important ethics for a person. A code of ethics would guide a person in a situation that would risk her morals and would be confused on what is the right thing to do. Our ethics and morals as individuals would really help with our behavior in doing good. And lastly as mention in the last part of the case, it also good to know that there are still many people who chooses to do the right things even if they know that a lot in their surrounding chooses to do bad and would just go with the flow and would not fight for what is right.
