Elected, two-year term (option for one two year renewal) The Extension Chair should be at least 18 years of age, Baptized, and a regular communicant, and should have an interest in promoting spiritual growth opportunities within and beyond the Parish.

Vestry, Corporation Rector, Parish Secretary, occasionally Diocesan Groups The Extension Chair must for each activity (See below), ensure that there is a system in place for getting the job done, that someone doing the job, (or finding a replacement when required), reporting to Vestry on each assigned activity and communicating fiom Vestry to persons doing the activity. .

Duties Oversee

The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following: The Extension Chair will oversee the advertisement and promotion of the following Diocesan andlor Parish sponsored activities within the Parish: a) Cursillo b) Marriage Encounter c) Education for Ministry d) Sorrento

Coordinate Parish conferences and Workshops as Corporation and Vestry authorize, by ensuring a committee is in place to organize the activity. Communicate With The Extension Chair will provide communication between Vestry and the various groups involved with the organization and provision of the activities identified above..

- Other Related Duties

Attend and participate in meetings of Synod, in accordance with Canon 5 clause 62 (a) to (c). Attend and participate in Vestry in accordance with Canon 5 clause 63 (a) to (e).

Collective Vestry Responsibility Diocesan Responsibility

The Extension Chair is encouraged to seek appointment to Diocesan Committees, and to participate in sub-committees of Vestry.. Approved by Special Congregational Meeting 21 March 2000
