Proposal: Earth Week Literacy Festival Dates: April 8th-12th, 2013 Earth Week 2013 Theme: Love Our EarthLove Life Purpose: The Earth Week Literacy Festivals goal is to educate, inspire and create awareness for students, teachers and staff to continue/become advocates for taking care of the Earth. Venue: The library, Old Student Center, (all exhibits: student work, Earth Day book checkout). Helpers: Library Club and Helpers, Architecture and Green Team Clubs. Donation Activities: During the whole month... Pennies for Pets Campaign - students will collect pennies for SPCA shelter animals. Students & teachers will donate soda cans that will be decorated by helpers. Recycling Green Team Tribune Supplement Earth Week Information, promotion, and collectables will be inserted in the April newspaper edition. Schedule/Plan: LibraryMonday, April 8th = Kick off = Students & Staff Sign-Up for Shoreline Spruce Up at White Rock Lake.
