Mr. Jacksons Class News letter

Welcome to Mr. Jacksons 5 grade science class. In this class you child will learn everything from ants to zenon gas. I hope you will join us for our meet and greet the faculty night detailed below. I will be looking forward to answering any questions that you or your child may have. I look forward to teaching your children and being the best teacher they have ever had. Thank you very much.

Solar System Project

My students will be constructing a mock solar system project. I will be sending home a list of materials for the project. They are also on my website. This is a huge project so I expect all students to do a great job. The due date is listed on the calendar page of my website.

Tennessee Aquarium Field Trip

The field trip to the Tennessee Aquarium will be on February 22, 2015. Please send admission fee and permission slips back to school with your student as soon as possible.

Parent Responsibilities
I ask parents to please sign and return any forms or papers that I send home with your child. Please note that most of these papers are not disciplinary they are informative papers. Please reassure you child of this. Students tend to associate parents signatures with disciplinary action. Nine out of 10 times this is not the case. Thank you very much.

This Weeks Assignments

This week in Science we will be studying the solar system. Parents please send all the materials on your students list for their class project. This project will be due on February 29, 2015.

This Weeks Highlights

Monday Today we are learning about space. Tuesday Today we are learning about planets. Wednesday Today we are learning about the solar system. Thursday Today we are going on a field trip to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center Friday Today we have a special guest from NASA.
