Introduction
To Whom It May Concern, My name is Shaun Gillies and I am currently studying as a student of QUT in a bachelor of Information Technology. My aim in applying for a position in LaQuar is primarily to gain more experience in design and social media production in a comfortable and modern work environment. While I am looking for experience, I believe that I am more than qualified for this position.

Experience
Music Director April 2012 to August 2012
Working for the Northern Pride football team as their audio director was an incredible experience. My main role was to provide all audio (advertisements and music) for Northern Pride home football games. This meant use and understanding of audio mastering and audio presentation techniques.

Social Media Development

January 2011 to November 2012

Over the course of two years, I developed many social media components for Lasertronics as part of my coursework. This included QR Code creation, logo design, iPhone and Android application development, website design and development, and website administration.

From 2008 to 2012, I complete my high school education at St Stephens Catholic College in Mareeba, North Queensland. I graduated with an Overall Position of 5 and a result of A on the Queensland Core Skills test.

Skills
I am talented in areas of design, art creation, typography, database design and management, website design and management, and application design and administration. I am incredibly flexible and capable of performing many roles in a work environment. I consider myself a leader and quite capable of moving forward in-group projects; however, I am also very capable at performing as an individual thanks to the initiative I take in completing tasks.

Ideas for LaQuar

As advertised on the QUT classifieds, I have many ideas that could benefit LaQuar. An example being steps towards furthering LaQuars social media campaign. When designing and creating, in order to encourage more creative outcomes, I like to use Synesthesia as a base for my design. Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which sensory inputs are processed together, such as seeing sounds or tasting colours. Using this concept as a base, higher quality work can be produced. In terms of , this concept can be extended to two categories of your business: product design and social media integration. In terms of product design, audio could be introduced to LaQuars gift boxes, or the wrapping material could change depending on the gift. In this way, the products register different parts of the brain upon reception and improve the response. When discussing social media integration, LaQuar could assimilate social media links into the gift packages; an example being a QR Code that links the recipient to a personalised, interactive message online. This also includes linking Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites into advertising campaigns.
