1.

A study on the antioxidant level of tea versus tea added with milk A study on the effect of alkaline water to the growth of coliforms (E. coli)

2.

Research problem:
What

effect does milk have, if any, on the antioxidant level of green tea extract versus regular green tea extract as measured using the 2,2-Diphenyl-1picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay?

General Objectives:
To

identify the effect of milk when mixed with green tea extract as to the amount of antioxidant that remains physiologically active compared to green tea extract alone

Specific Objectives:

To measure the antioxidant level of tea with milk and the tea alone using the colorimetric assay 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) at 510nm. To calculate antioxidant activity as a EC50 value (inhibitory value) against the absorption of the test sample. To compare the antioxidant levels of both test samples. (tea with milk and tea without milk) To construct a standard calibration curve using Vit.C at 0.125mg as standard.
