Student Profiles

Kyran Binge 29th October 2007 Currently on partial attendance 9-11.30. Is excited by his own success and enjoys showing off work. Struggles to stay focussed: Im hungry and hangs out in the toilet. He tends to escape the classroom through windows or doesnt return after bells. Resorts to tantrums, swearing, abusing and hitting teachers to get own way Domonic Brown 21st June 2007 Has attended two days at MEPS leaving before lunch both days. Tommy Fing 17th June 2008 Currently on partial attendance 9-11.30. NOW attends Kiah Pre-School. Enjoys conversations on topics he knows and learning about new concepts. He has a deep way of looking at the world and thinks his feelings through. He has anger issues yet enjoys being close to people. Can throw pencils and furniture when angry or wanting attention. He is a leader and encourages others to follow his behaviour. Dennis Gardiner 5th January 2008 He is a very caring boy. His friends wellbeing is important to him even if he was the one to cause their injury or sadness he is quick to apologise. He enjoys dancing and being in front of peers. He has speech and hearing difficulties. When anger sets in he resorts to violence and escaping out windows. When angry or upset his speech deteriorates. Hermonie Hona 3rd August 2007 A very energetic, bubbly, chatty girl. She is neat and most shows pride in her work. Struggles to follow the simple rule of waiting to talk and is usually exploding with the correct answer or quality contributions to class discussions. She has difficulties with many simple speech skills. Malachi Hughes 1st August 2007 A clever student with a passion for boxing, football and cowboys. He is friendly and cares for his mates. He enjoys conversing with people of any age, making quality contributions. He suffers from epilepsy and seizures as well as exhaustion, often sleeping in class. He is medicated at home before school. Veronica Kelly 12 February 2008 A very chatty student, she enjoys talking to anyone who listens, she is developing the skills to realise when is an appropriate time to talk about certain topics. Her fine motor skills are still developing and she shows strengths towards being left handed but is still ambidextrous when writing. When whole group instructions are given she often waits for a personal invite before following them. She has difficulty pronouncing many simple sounds. Isabelle Lysaght 22nd July 2007 She is very diligent and enjoys participating in all learning. Always willing to have a go and help friends. Very caring. Quietly spoken when sad. Older brother and step-sister at school. Her Mum passed away tragically when she was 3.

Nathan Pedlow 16th April 2008 He is generally well behaved but can be a follower for what looks like fun. Excludes himself from friends and teacher when sad. Very talkative with friends when happy and feeling included. Participates in most learning activities but needs assistance with staying on task. His mum passed away suddenly last year. Brock Roberts 6th October 2006 Low attendance and late arrivals. He is a quiet student and enjoys learning with his female friends to avoid naughty behaviour. Enjoys technology and gaming. Older brother at school. Delaynna Smith 24th April 2008 Very strong willed student, with strong opinions and language to avoid tasks. Can be known to throw pencils across room and interrupt the learning of others for attention. Starting to show affection and respect for teacher. Miss Mcdonnell is best buddy teacher for her. Three older brothers and an older sister at school. Christopher Tierney 21st January 2008 He is a happy student who participates in all lessons. He has developed maturity and cares for his mates, playing nicely and fairly. He has well-developed numeracy skills and likes to help his friends complete tasks. His fine motor skills with pencil control needs practise. Marsha Tighe 20th March 2008 Very caring student. Wears her heart on sleeve and easily brought to tears due to tiredness. Quiet and enjoys her own space. Has some understanding of letters/sounds and numbers. Enjoys dancing and art activities. Rachael Tyson 29th March 2008 She is a quiet student, very artistic and always happily follows instructions. She enjoys dancing. Fiddles with anything and is often not engaged with class discussions. All round good behaviour. Older siblings at school. Bradley Hamilton In his second year of kinder after low attendance. He continues to have low attendance. Often refuses to follow instructions NO and tomorrow Im not coming back here Some behaviour issues to avoid following instructions. He has bitten a child and is known to have violent outbursts at students and teachers. Allan Whitton Has attended two days at MEPS. Friends with many students in class. Lots of tears and wanting to go home.
