Come along and hear how children learn to read, what teachers do to help them, and how you can help at home.
What skills does your child need to begin reading? What can you do at home to help your child become a reader? What is the parents role at home? What kinds of questions can you ask? What are phonics, where do they fit in? Whole languagewhat is it? Prompt Pause Praise. What does this mean? How does the colour wheel system work in reading? How does our Reading support Programme work? What do National Standards mean for reading? There will be handouts and time for questions on the night.
