SCOPE

This guide lists the pressure/temperature ratings for level gauge as specified in paragraph 8.8 of RP 15-5-1. DESIGN

For general service, gauge glass columns shall be specified suitable for pressure/temperature ratings found in Table 1. The column type and pressure/temperature rating shall be specified on installation drawings. TABLE 1 GAUGE GLASS COLUMN PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATINGS

Notes: (1) Brand equals are Daniel 9_TMWA, Jerguson_9TC20, Penberthy_TM9, and Strahman SVT_4. (2) Brand equals are Daniel 9_THWA, Jerguson_9TC30, Penberthy_YH9, and Strahman SVT_6. (3) Brand equals are Daniel 9_RMWA, Jerguson_9RC20, Penberthy_RM9, and Strahman SVR_3. (4) Brand equals are Daniel 9_RHWA, Jerguson_9RC30, Penberthy_RH9, and Strahman SVR_5. (5) The blank space in each model number shall be filled in with the number of gauge glass sections required; e.g., (SVT24) from one through five sections. Five sections are the maximum permitted from one set of process connections.

Gauges for pressures and temperatures higher than noted above shall be considered special, and Owners Engineer shall be consulted.
