Pineapples are quirky fruits which are com-

Vi
individual fruitlets are fused together, they C o l o r s
display a variety of vibrant colors and vari-
ous geometric shapes. The Pop Artist Andy
Warhol relates to a pineapple in many Unity
ways; He was a quirky man who was ob-
sessed with fame. Starting out his career t i t i o n
as a commercial illustrator he adopted silk-
Repe
screen techniques and developed his own
original art style. Warhol is known for taking

a single image and replicating it through-
out a canvas with a variety of vibrant col-
ors. His artworks were often controversial
due to the fact that they he “mass pro-
duced” them. In response to this contro-
versy he stated “Art is what you can get

In relation to the pop artist Andy Warhol,
The Room
his quotes, and the juicy pineapple fruit,
The room project developed. By abstract-
ing an image of an individual fruitlet and
implying many of Warhol’s techniques,
the 2-D concept model emerged. An ab-
stract image of an individual pineapple fri-
utlet was replicated four times throughout
the canvas, using a stencil and a selection
of bright colored paints. To convert this
2-D image into a room, various geometric
shapes were transformed into walls and a
combination of seating arrangements. In-
corporating a bit of Warhol’s style into the
room, the use of repetition and an assort-
ment of color unify the room into a quirky,
