BABY DUMPING

BABY DUMPING!!! Have all of you heard that words? A very good morning to the President of the Social Society, Mr. Rahman bin Jamil, Vice-President, members of board, members of the Social Society and all fellow friends that present to listen my speech. As I mentioned just now, the topic of my speech today is Baby Dumping, which are one of the hottest issues today. Baby is a precious given by God to the couple. There are a lot of couple who are depressed because they are not given that lucky opportunity by God to have this precious. But then why there still are baby dumping cases occur and this crime increases each day? First of all, let me give the definition for baby dumping. Baby dumping means the acts of throw away the babies at any places without take care the babies. We can know about this because of this case appears every day in newspapers headline; we can see that these cases are increasing from time to time. According to the statistics of baby dumping cases in Malaysia issued by the Headquarters of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Bukit Aman, in 2000, a total of 65 cases of baby dumping have been reported throughout the country. This serious case should be aware by the communities as it becoming more serious among teenagers in Malaysia especially. Ladies and gentlemen, There are a lot of causes that influence teenagers in baby dumping. Baby dumping happened because new mothers, especially young mothers (under age) may feel overwhelmed by the idea of parenthood. They may have difficulty coping with the drastic physical and emotional changes they are experiencing. They may be suffering from the depression that sometimes brought on by the hormonal changes associated with giving birth. They may be convinced that they will be unable to raise the child, and they may feel that there is no one they can turn to for help. They also may fear the shame of having give birth outside of marriage, or they may fear that they will be unable to continue their studies if anyone know about that. So, none of these feelings can excuse they from throw their baby.

I know that most of you that present here consist of parents and we are one of the factors that this issue happen. This is because another factor that cause of baby dumping is family break-up. Family break-ups happen after a long period of misunderstandings, fighting and unhappiness. Sometimes they happen suddenly and it is hard to understand why there needs to be change at all. Children are mostly affected by this kind of situation. If both their mother and father decided to a divorce and one cannot raise their child alone, tendency is that they will abandon their child. This child will become homeless and found himself alone and interrupt with social problem such as sex without married. Lastly when theyre pregnant and born they choose to dump their babies without feel guilty because maybe they dont understand the importance of a child in a family. Ladies and gentlemen, A lot of problem will be faced in this baby dumping issue. This baby dumping will affect the individual and the baby. This is because for the individual, the mother will infect by viruses. This is due, normally the young mother will delivery her baby by own and there are no medical help. This will cause the mother to have over bleeding. The mother also will face with emotional problem and will become more depressed because they feel guilty with their action.Dr. Boulton said that mothers who throw their babies normally do so under desperate circumstances. Having ones first child is the most stressful experience someone can go through. Young mothers can be vulnerable, especially if they are alone and do not have the experience or social support to cope. refer to this article so we know when they are under desperate they might do unmoral thing. Normally, they are under desperate they might do abnormal thing because they are under pressure. The baby also will be affected because of the mothers attitude. The baby will not have his or her mother to guide, support and to take care. Some of the mothers could killed their babies after they delivery their babies because the afraid that her family will know. Ladies and gentleman, How to overcome these issues? Parents is the most person who should play the importance here. This is because parents should play high role to teach their kids

to become good in their behaviour. Besides that, parents also have to guide and advise their children in whatever they do. Its true that a good parental foundation can steer someone on the right path and tragically, there are instances of children seeming doomed from the start. They receive such poor guidance from their parents when they are young. Parents should be held accountable for the children they raise. Sometimes, parents dont give full attention to their children as today many parents are expect their children are good enough. Parents are also too busy with their jobs until they forget to give attention to their children. This is a serious problem among parents as they dont know what their children are doing. According to Dr. Khaidzir Ismail, Psychologists of children and adolescents from University of Kebangsaan Malaysia, 2007, Conflict in the family kicked out of youth to find a place and friends can help overcome life and at the same time meet the needs of finance, entertainment and emotional development.

As the conclusion, to overcome these issues lets hold hand together and play our role. No matter whom we are but to increase our country and want our country to be well-known in the world lets help each other to overcome this dumping baby issues. Besides, we must care about our family institution. The important thing is parents must control their daughters or sons action and teach them about baby dumpings, free sex, or unmoral actions are not allowed in religious.
