The parties to agreement based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards. (Page 4, clause 3.1) Substitute the following for the existing clause: 3.1 Cement The cement used shall be in accordance with the provisions given in 5.1 of IS 456 : 2000 Plain and reinforced concrete Code of practice (fourth revision). (Page 5, clause 3.5) Insert the following new clause after 3.5: 3.6 Mineral Admixture Mineral admixture used shall conform to the requirements of IS 456 : 2000.

4.4 Mineral admixture may be used along with cement. The use of mineral admixture shall be in accordance with IS 456 : 2000 subject to fulfillment of requirements of this standard.
