Love’s Sweetness’ Sweet

Ricardo Saul LaRosa

How it hurts to feel that Destiny has parted us,

All memories of you are my only treasure,
Dreams that your soul and mine dreamed,
To be as one when we shared our love,
Now I am left all alone,
Still tasting the honey of your lips,
Love’s sweetness’ sweet upon me,
I hunger for a love that I once embraced me,

My heart though in pieces still seeks you,

A longing that we’ll be together somehow,
I have not lost faith in us; in our love,
This is what keeps me alive,

I am on my knees with arms stretched out,

Tears in my eyes as my heart dies,
Life is not worth living without you,
I declare my love to you defiantly,

I adore you beyond compare or words,

I still feel your love caressing me,
Love’s sweetness’ sweet haunting me,
Though in Hell I fight to the death,
For you the one that I love,

My soul trembles crying desires,

Of my heart; of my soul,
Prayers invoking your name,
Bringing us together again,

Though we are far apart I still hope,

Excerpt from POET IN EXILE
You and I in love, again,
Holding hands flying high,
Embracing your body; your soul infinitely,

Love’s sweetness’ sweet upon me,

Conquered all my fears all loneliness,
Reunited our hearts forevermore,
In love, again, you and I…

Our love has conquered this Hell,

Heaven’s Paradise reigns for us,
Kisses abound hugs adorn us,
I love you, endlessly,

I love you my darling,

Words can not describe our love,
Hearts explode with happiness,
Because we are together, as one, in love…
