Burning Restrictions
When fire danger levels reach High and Extreme please note the following: Burning will be confined to a burn barrel. Barrel must have a good quality, heavy gauge mesh screen, with holes no larger than -inch, covering the opening.

Grant Updates
Leo Adler Grant The district has again received the Leo Adler Community Grant. The district received funds to repair the roof on the fire station. It has been replaced with a metal roof. Take a look when you go by it turned out great! VFA Grant The district has is asking for funds to purchase reconditioned composite SCBA bottles. These bottles weight less than the existing bottles currently being used. Power Those Who Protect Us Battery Donation Program The district was the recipient of the Battery Donation Program through Duracell and the National Volunteer Fire Council which included a case of Duracell batteries of various sizes. We are always grateful whenever we are successful when applying for grants. Utilizing grant opportunities helps the funding needs of the district. We will continue to pursue grants whenever possible.

We need volunteers! Being a volunteer is truly rewarding! Please consider joining the Keating Rural Fire Protection District. If you think that you might be interested in joining our team of volunteers, please stop in at our next drill night or give Chief Harper a call. Drill nights are typically the second Monday of the month and begin at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. We would love to have you!
