Secretary of Labor
The United States Secretary of Labor is the head of the Department of Labor who exercises control over the department and enforces and sug-
gests laws involving unions, the workplace and all other issues involving any form of business-person controversies. Seven women have served
as Secretary of Labor, which is more than any other cabinet position.

Spending

in labor relations, so you support a
federal agenda that encourages health-
care spending. That keeps both unions
and employers happy, as the govern-
ment shoulders more of the economic
burden for keeping people healthy.
