School bully issue is not a new issue.We seem to be hearing more of such cases in recent years and they are getting worse everyday.Those cases happen in primary and secondary schools. It can be physical or mental bully.There was the case of a school boy who died after being assaulted by several of his schoolmates.This is a serious case.. The discipline issues make the school environment unsafe for our children to study.Some of them are afraid to go to school.Students cannot learn effectively if they have fear of their safety.Some of them become very passive,gloomy and wary about trusting people.They also suffer for a long term and they could bear grudges.Troubled students,both victims and bullies,need a supportive environment to learn and grow. There are many reasons why these cases become regular.One of the reasons is the relationship between teachers with their students.Teachers could not be a good listener to their students.So,students not comfortable to talk about their problems.It will increase discipline problems in school. Some of the bullying cases in schools happen because of the standard of teaching today.Students are bored and stressed because they cannot understand the lesson. They become bullies to overcome their stress and boredom.The other reason could be from their parents.We always hear about parents coming to school as they are dissatisfied that discipline action has been taken against their children.They always think that their children are right and cannot be punished. I think parents and school should sit and talk about this issue.Both parties must work together to overcome this problem.Parents and teacher must play their role to

ensure that this problem decreases.Parents who have problem with their children should discuss it with teachers and get help from caunselor. Prepared by,
