Shift Bidding Description: Shift Bidding is a concept that gives priority to the preferences of the associates.

Associates need to bid the shifts based on the available slots (Intervals -> Staffing) as their preferences. The Administrator/Supervisor/CCOD in turn has to check and approve/deny the bidden shifts. Existing Process: Publishing Staffing: Step 1: Generated/Uploaded Staffing will be published with a Cut Off date. Based on the Cut Off date, the associates can bid their shifts early as possible. Associates: Step 1: Bids a shift based on the available/displayed time slots. Step 2: Can view the status of the bidden shift (Approve/Deny/Pending). Step 3: Based on associates tier, the bidden shift will be automatically generated. These shifts will not be presented for approval. Step 4: Once a shift has been bidden an email will be triggered to the administrators/supervisors/CCODs as intimation. Note: Can bid shifts only for future dates. Administrators/Supervisors/CCODs: Step 1: Can view all the bidden shifts of the associates. Step 2: Can Approve/Deny the bidden shift. Step 3: Once the bidden shift is approved/denied, an email will be sent to the associate who have raised the request. Proposed: Publishing Staffing: Option to disable schedule rollout on other areas, when staffing is published for the rollout date range. Associates: Can provide Time span option - Time span (Plus/Minus - 0/1/2 hours) for the bidding shifts as a preference. Delete option to delete the request raised. Administrators/Supervisors/CCODs: Can display Skill set/Ranks of the associates - The approvers can approve/deny the bidden shift by considering Skill sets/Ranks of the associates. Based on Time span provided by associate the supervisor can approve alternate shifts. Option to alert approvers for the pending items to be cleared or the pending items when they are about to expire.
