CILAS PARTICLE SIZE ANALYZER SOP

1. Switch on the computer, and then instrument. 2. Click on Size Expert. 3. Following Mimic Screen will appear,

4. Click on rinsing. The Rinsing will start and stop automatically. 5. After filling the tank with water, click on + on mimic screen for 1-2 minutes for Fast Pump. This will remove air bubbles, if any, from the tank.

6. Then Click on Real Time Signals as shown in following figure.

7. This will show you Laser Value. The laser Value must be above 7000 to 12000. 8. If the laser value is ok then your instrument is ready for operation. 9. There are two options available for Analysis Wet Mode and Dry mode.

Measurement in Wet Mode:

1.Click on Measuring as shown in following figure,

2. After clicking on Measuring following window will appear,

3. Select appropriate SOP, click on background measurement. After background is complete, Sample measurement will become green. 4. Pour Sample inside the tank. Click on sample measurement, analysis will start automatically. 5. After analysis is complete it will display the results automatically. 6.DRAIN THE WATER IMMEDIATELY AFTER ANALYSIS IS COMPLETE AND RINSE THE TANK.

7. To visualize/print the result click on Results as shown,

8. Then Click on Modify SelectionRun Simple request 9.Transfer the required results from Left to Right and click on Validate.

10. To visualize Click on Single/Overlay in Visualization tab. 11. To print Click on Single/Overlay in Printing tab. 12. To goto Dry mode click on ToolsOptionsAnalyzers and click on Two in One and Validate.

will be activated, Click on that and goto Dry mode.

14. Follow the same steps as above in Wet Mode Analysis.
